Chari Hawkins is an American track and field athlete competing in the heptathlon. She represented her country at the 2019 World Championships in Doha finishing 12th overall.
Chari Hawkins was born on May 21, 1991. She competed in the college team of Utah State Aggies, before turning professional.
Chari Hawkins is part of the Team USA in the heptathlon. She finished third in 2019 summer’s USA Track and Field national championship, qualifying for her first world championships and putting her in strong contention to reach the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.
Chari Hawkins competed in the 2016 Olympic trials, finishing 15th, but credits her 2017-18 year in England as her breakthrough. While earning her master’s degree in international education at the University of Bath, Hawkins won a gold medal at the British National Championships. She placed 12th in the heptathlon at the 2019 world championships in Doha, Qatar, despite an ankle injury shortly before the competition.
