Alica Schmidt is a 21-year-old track and field German athlete. She is specializing in middle distance running. She continues to be the Olympic hopeful for Germany in 400 m events.
Alica Schmidt was born on November 8, 1998, in Worms, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. She was an avid athlete during her childhood, following in the footsteps of her father from a young age. In particular, her father convinced her to pursue a career in sports that eventually led her to indulge in a relay race and long jump.
Alica Schmidt participated in several European Athletics championships under 20. She first came into prominence after winning a silver medal in the 4×400 relay at the European Athletics Under-20 Championships in 2017. Alica Schmidt is the athlete who played a key role in helping Germany clinch silver at the 4x400m relay event at the 2017 European Athletics Under-20 Championships. In 2019, she helped Germany secure a bronze medal at the 4x400m relay event in European U-23 Championships.
As of now, she is preparing to participate in the upcoming Tokyo Olympics in 2021.
