Maria Vicente is a Spanish athlete specializing in combined events and triple jump. She is the holder of the U18 World Best in the pentathlon, as well as the senior Spanish national record in pentathlon and heptathlon.
Maria Vicente was born on March 28, 2001, in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, Spain. Her father was born in Cuba, while her mother is from Huelamo, Cuenca, Castile-La Mancha. Maria Vicente started training at an early age and developed in Triple jump and different athletic sports.
Maria Vicente won the gold medal at the European Youth Olympic Festival in 2017 in Triple jump. Same year, she became first at the World U18 Championships in Heptathlon.
In 2018, she won two gold medals at the European U18 Championships, winning in Heptathlon with 6221 pts and Triple jump with 13.95 m. Same year, she took part at the European Championships, where ended 25th in the triple jump. In the Youth Olympic Games, she won the silver medal in the Triple jump with 13.76 m.
Maria Vicente won the gold medal at the European U20 Championships in 2019 in Heptathlon with 6115 pts and 8th in the 4×100 m relay.
